Children's Church

Our Children’s Church classes are taught during the 10:30 service on Sunday mornings for children in Kindergarten-4th Grade.

Children’s church is taught using the Gospel Project curriculum by Lifeway. Some people see the Bible as a collection of stories with morals for life application. But it is so much more than that. Sure, the Bible has some stories in it, but it is also full of poetry, history, codes of law and civilization, songs, prophecy, letters — even a love letter. When you tie it all together, something remarkable happens. A story is revealed. One story. The story of redemption through Jesus.

It is our desire at Riverside Church for our children to be taught the story of Jesus at a level that they can understand. During children’s church your children will be engaged through songs, games, videos, and story telling as we creatively seek to share the story of Jesus to your children.

Nursery

It is our privilege at Riverside Church to provide quality nursery care for children from birth until Kindergarten. Our purpose is to provide a place where parents can confidently leave their children. A great deal of preparation has gone into making our nursery safe and enjoyable. The nursery ministry enables parents and others to worship and study in our church with the least amount of distractions as possible.

A nursery is available for children from birth until Kindergarten during the 9:30 Connection Classes and 10:30 Service on Sunday morning.

Vacation Bible School

VBS lasts for one week in the summer. It is always a highlight of the summer and requires much preparation. During the week of VBS, there are opportunities to help prepare snacks, navigate groups of kids, serve as a teacher or as an assistant teacher, register kids, help with drop-off and pick-up of kids. There are also opportunities to help with stage set-up, decorating or cleaning. Of course, the safety of our children is our primary concern.
