Kay Clifton
Kay Clifton began playing music when she was three years old. Her Mother enrolled her in piano lessons when she was five. Kay became a Christian at King’s Way Bible Church in Comer, Georgia in 1983. It was at King’s Way that she received solid Biblical teaching and began building a foundation to live a Christlike life. After High School, she enrolled in the University of Georgia’s School of Music, obtaining a Bachelor of Music degree cum laud in 1992. She married Rodney Clifton later that year, and they now have three beautiful daughters, gifts from the Lord: Maura, age 16, Lauren, age 12, and Kasey, age 4. Kay began leading worship in a church in 1995, and since that time has come to understand God’s call on her life as a worship leader. She has been leading worship at Riverside Church since its inception in 2002. In addition to leading worship, she works with other areas of the creative arts and media such as powerpoint team, sound, and drama, and facilitates some classes for Riverside’s discipleship ministry, Dive Into the Deep.
